Volunteer Opportunities

The Hill Country Children’s Advocacy Center depends on volunteers to complement and extend services to children who have experienced trauma, their loved ones and the community. The Center offers volunteer opportunities that fit real-life busy schedules. Volunteer activities include:

SCHOOL EDUCATION PROGRAM

Volunteers deliver a child safety program to school children in kindergarten – fifth grades.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES

Volunteers assist staff in facilitating activities for children during parenting groups and community events.

CHILD CARE

Volunteers play with toddlers during parenting groups and with young children waiting to receive services.

DECORATE THE CENTER FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Volunteers decorate HCCAC for each major holiday. Holiday Helpers may choose to help once or several times throughout the year.

FUNDRAISING

Volunteers help decorate and support fundraising events throughout the year.

OFFICE ASSISTANCE

Volunteers welcome families to the Center, answer the phone, compile parent folders, copy and scan documents and help with general office duties.

BUILDING/ GROUNDS MAINTENANCE

Volunteers help with landscaping and general upkeep of the Center’s offices including painting and making minor repairs.

GROUP/ CORPORATE PROJECTS

Volunteer groups assist with one-time projects on work days and special events.

CACs BRING CHILDREN HOPE, JUSTICE, AND HEALING
HOW TO APPLY

• Submit a volunteer application along with a background check form
• Meet with the volunteer coordinator to discuss your interest.
• Complete training for your volunteer position.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age unless they are helping with a special project.
