What Next?

Now that your child has made an outcry of abuse, you as the parent have the responsibility of doing everything you can to assure that your child is protected from further abuse. You, and your child, also have a long road ahead of you in the healing process. Counseling is very critical at this stage. Another major road you and your child will have to travel is the one whose end is the prosecution of the offender (the person who abused your child).
