INTERDICTION FOR THE PROTECTION OF CHILDREN

 August 27-28, 2014

This course has been developed through a collaborative partnership of the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Interdiction for the Protection of Children is designed to make patrol officers aware of a variety of resources available to assist them in establishing the status of a child who may be abducted or endangered and what courses of action are immediately available.

Interdiction for the Protection of Children will provide the knowledge of behavioral patterns of both suspects and victims. The items to look for may be present or absent, along with the type of questions that need to be asked. When taken together, and in their proper context, they are indicators of a high risk victim/threat; which can be articulated and supported through research to meet this legal requirement
